General Questions

Where is Adroit Robotics Club located?

Adroit Robotics Club is located at 1104 E Mulberry Street, Suite C, Angleton, TX 77515. Near the original Subway, Dollar General, and Angleton ER; across the street from Honore's. We proudly serve families throughout Angleton and surrounding communities in Brazoria County.

What ages do you serve?

Our programs are designed for children and students of various ages and skill levels, but primarily 2nd-12th grades. Age requirements can vary depending on the specific program, class, or robotics team. Contact us to find the best fit for your child.

Does my child need previous experience?

No! Many of our programs are designed for beginners. Students can start with no previous robotics, programming, engineering, or 3D printing experience and develop their skills as they progress.

What are your hours?

Our current regular hours are Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM–5:30 PM, though we can be available in the mornings for homeschool classes. Class and event schedules may vary, so please check our calendar for current offerings.

How do I enroll my child?

Can we visit before enrolling?

We encourage families to contact us about visiting the club and learning more about our programs before making a decision.

Robotics Questions

What does a robotics/programming class involve?

Students learn by building, programming, testing, and improving robots. Activities may include engineering challenges, programming exercises, problem-solving, teamwork, and autonomous robot programming.

Do students compete in robotics competitions?

Yes. Students who participate in our competition teams have opportunities to compete through programs such as FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC).

What is FIRST LEGO League?

FIRST LEGO League is a hands-on robotics program where students design, build, and program LEGO-based robots while working together to solve challenges and explore real-world problems.

What is FIRST Tech Challenge?

FIRST Tech Challenge is an advanced robotics competition where students design, build, program, and operate larger robots while developing engineering, programming, mechanical skills, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Does every student have to compete?

No. Students can participate in our educational programs simply to learn and develop their STEM skills. Competition opportunities are available for students who want to take their robotics experience further.

Programming & Coding Questions

Does my child need coding experience?

No. Our programming instruction can accommodate students who are just beginning to learn how to code as well as students who are ready for more challenging programming projects.

What will students learn in programming classes?

Students learn programming fundamentals and apply those skills to robotics and hands-on projects. Topics may include variables, loops, conditionals, functions, autonomous programming, problem-solving, and debugging.

What programming languages do you teach?

Programming languages and platforms may vary depending on the student's age, experience, and project. Contact us for information about the programming currently offered.

3D Printing Questions

What do students learn in 3D printing classes?

Students learn 3D design, CAD concepts, modeling, measurements, slicing, printer operation, materials, troubleshooting, and how to improve designs through testing and prototyping.

Do students get to print their own designs?

Yes! Students have opportunities to turn their digital designs into physical objects and see their ideas come to life.

Can I purchase 3D prints made by Adroit Robotics Club students?

Yes. Visit our 3D Print Shop to browse available student-designed and student-created items. Every purchase helps support our STEM programs and provides additional learning opportunities for our students.

Can you create a custom 3D print?

Absolutely! If you have a specific idea or are looking for something you don't see in our shop, let us know. Depending on the design and project requirements, we may be able to create a custom item for you.

Can I choose a different color?

Many of our products are available in multiple colors. Select the available options when ordering, or contact us if you have a specific color request.

Homeschool & Tutoring Questions

Do you provide homeschool support?

Yes. We provide homeschool support designed to help families who want the flexibility of homeschooling but need additional structure, guidance, and academic support.

How does your homeschool program work?

We can help families identify an online homeschool program that fits their child's needs and educational goals. We then help facilitate the student's progress by providing structure, guidance, accountability, and academic support.

Do you provide the homeschool curriculum?

What if I want to homeschool but don't have the time or patience?

That's exactly where our homeschool support can help. We can help you find an online homeschool program that fits your family's needs and provide the structure and support necessary to help your child stay on track.

What subjects do you tutor?

Tutoring can include subjects such as mathematics, science, reading, writing, technology, and STEM. Availability may vary based on student needs and instructor availability.

Do you offer one-on-one tutoring?

Yes. Personalized tutoring may be available depending on the subject, student's needs, and scheduling.

Parents' Night Out

What is Parents' Night Out?

Parents' Night Out gives parents the opportunity to enjoy an evening out while their children participate in a fun, supervised environment at Adroit Robotics Club.

Activities may include robotics and STEM activities, games, crafts, building projects, movies, and other age-appropriate activities.

Who can attend Parents' Night Out?

Parents' Night Out is designed for children who can participate safely and appropriately in the scheduled activities. Age requirements may vary by event.

Do you provide food?

Food and refreshments may be provided depending on the specific event. Check the event information when registering.

How do I reserve a spot?

Space may be limited, so advance registration is recommended. Visit the Parents' Night Out page or contact us for upcoming dates and availability.

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept:

Cash, Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle.

We do not currently accept credit cards.Checks can be accepted with prior approval.

Mentors & Volunteers

How can I become a mentor?

Do I need to be a robotics expert to become a mentor?

No. We're looking for people who enjoy helping students learn and grow. Mentors may come from backgrounds including engineering, programming, education, skilled trades, 3D printing, business, technology, or other areas.

How can mentors help students?

Mentors can assist with robotics projects, programming, engineering challenges, 3D printing, workshops, competitions, career discussions, and other hands-on STEM activities.

How much time do I need to volunteer?

Volunteer opportunities can vary. Whether you can help regularly or occasionally, we'd love to hear from you and discuss how your skills and availability can support our students.

3D Print Shop

Who makes the products in the 3D Print Shop?

Many of our products are designed and printed by Adroit Robotics Club students. The shop gives students an opportunity to apply their design and 3D printing skills while supporting the club.

Where does the money from purchases go?

Purchases help support Adroit Robotics Club programs, equipment, materials, competitions, and hands-on learning opportunities for students.

Can I request a custom product?

Yes! If you have an idea for something you'd like printed, contact us. We'll let you know whether we can create it and provide information about pricing and options.
